Your Guide to 2021 Paint Color Trends

To paint or not to paint?

Does your living room need a face-lift? Is your living space feeling drab or outdated?

Lucky for you, simply painting a few walls in your home can make big difference. So the question isn’t if you should, it’s what color should your pick.

Every year, certain colors and designs are trending. If you’re planing for interior house painting, here are the latest paint color trends.

Painting Trends

Every year designers do their best to pick the new colors for the season. And according to Pantone, the color for 2021 is none other than ultraviolet.

So what are you waiting for? Start painting your kitchen purple. Not into purple? No problem.

Here are a few other trends to consider.

Blacks

Black is the new, well, black.

Black might not be the first color that comes to mind when you are considering painting a room in your house, but trust us, black is taking over interior color trends.

Every space from bathrooms to bedrooms are being painted with dramatic dark hues, and there is no sign of this trend slowing down anytime soon.

Not ready to go all black? You can still use this latest trend in small doses instead of going all out. Try painting just one wall in a bedroom, or a small bathroom. And then be sure to brighten it up with natural light.

And if black isn’t calling your name, try using a purple or navy toned version to soften the look a little. The idea is to be dramatic.

Berries

It’s officially berry season. From strawberry red to raspberry pink, berry-colored hues are all the rage for 2021 paint color trends.

The great thing about the berry trend it there is a lot of versatility. There are hundreds of options available from bright red to a softer pink to an energetic purple to fit any color palate.

The berry hues, like reds and pinks, are great colors to rejuvenate your home with. They are warm and sophisticated. So if you are looking for some new energy in your home, reach for the berries.

Blues

Blues are still in. This is no surprise considering the color blue often creates feelings of calmness and serenity. Which is definitely something we could all use after a long day.

If you’re looking for something more sophisticated, try a calming blue-green. It’s not as harsh as the turquoise color we’ve been seeing a lot of the past few years.

Love the beach? Think of the sea and the sky when picking new paint colors, then combine them with sandy beiges.

What about something more electrifying? Slap up some cobalt or Parisian blue to make a loud statement.

You can be confident that whatever blue you choose will be right on trend.
